How and when did the two of you meet?

We met at a party on New Years Eve and bonded whilst looking after Kareena’s very intoxicated friend.
Callum then added Kareena on Facebook the next day. They got chatting and soon plans were made to meet up. The bond got stronger from there and 10 years later they were married.

Tell us all about your proposal story:

Callum made some plans to surprise Kareena at home when she thought he would still be away for work. There were a couple of flaws in his plans though… firstly, she was not really surprised when he appeared at the door, because he’d already been inside and washed the dishes, so Kareena knew he was back. Secondly, that she burst into tears before he even said hello as she’d had a very rough day. It clearly wasn’t the ideal time to pop the question, so he just made a stir fry for dinner and dodged her questions about why he was home. Finally, when the dust had settled and they climbed into bed, he took the plunge and asked his girl to be his wife. Kareena finally understood why he’d been so strange and her bad mood evaporated. She could not have been happier to give him a big resounding YES!

What does marriage mean to you?

Marriage is a celebration of love, commitment and friendship.

Why did you choose Hideaway Weddings?

The Hideaway was the first venue we looked at. It was so beautiful and we just knew that we had to have our wedding there. The staff were lovely and took away any stresses we had, and made the whole process an absolute breeze.

Describe your theme for the day and the inspiration behind it:

A rustic, chilled vibe.

Highlight of the day:

The guests at our wedding cannot stop raving about how great the staff and service was, and how delicious the meals were!

Any tips or words of wisdom?

Don’t stress the small stuff. At the end of the day, you are going to be marrying the person of your dreams and that’s all that matters.
