How and when did the two of you meet?
We met on tinder 24 November 2017.
Steve was on deployment in Afghanistan when he had the engagement ring custom made in Dubai. He wanted to propose at our favourite spot up at Mt Glorious but that idea didn’t work out so he ended up proposing at Sandstone Point at Bribie on the jetty.
What does marriage mean to you?
We both agree to be connected forever to your best friend and your person is the best feeling.
Why did you choose The Hideaway?
We chose The Hideaway because we both love the outdoors and forestry, and spend most weekends hiking around Glass House Mountains. It seemed like the perfect fit for our wedding, and it is such a beautiful venue. When we started doing the search for a venue, Hideaway Weddings was the one we kept going back to for value and stunning location.
Describe your theme for the day
I [Kirraleigh] was after a floral/mystical wedding with all the twinkle lights and greenery. Very Twilight wedding, as Steve likes to put it.
The Hideaway team put it all together in the most amazing way. I literally would not have changed a single thing. The setup of the ceremony and reception was absolutely stunning!
Kirraleigh’s highlight of the day
The ceremony was a big highlight there were so many points within that ceremony that I will cherish forever. Also the pregnancy announcement during the reception was awesome.
Steve’s highlight of the day
The ceremony was beautiful definitely highlight of the day. Friendly staff beautiful Venue. The night ran smoothly. Would highly recommend to anybody.
